Therefore, the dentures stay in place through eating and speaking. They are even able to stand up to a wide variety of foods, including tough foods, such as chewy meats and raw vegetables, that pose a challenge for traditional dentures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Longevity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditional dentures usually last 5 \u2013 8 years before they need to be replaced. They also need to be relined (adjusted) periodically so they maintain their fit. Across a few decades, repeatedly replacing and relining your dentures can become quite expensive. Implant dentures cost more upfront, but they last for much longer, and their fit doesn\u2019t change. Therefore, they present an excellent monetary value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comfort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If traditional dentures do not fit well, they can cause gum sores and other uncomfortable issues. The stable fit of implant dentures saves your gums from that continual stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jawbone Preservation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After tooth loss, the jawbone naturally begins to shrink, which can affect your facial shape and make you look older than you really are. Dentures do nothing to stop the bone deterioration. In fact, there is even research that indicates they can <em>accelerate <\/em>the bone loss.
